Kathleen Brown is chairman of Goldman Sachs Investment Banking for the Midwest Region. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 as a managing director.

Ms. Brown served as Treasurer of the State of California from 1991 through 1994. Her private sector experience includes work as an attorney with the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers and service as President of the Private Bank at Bank of America. Ms. Brown was the Democratic Party nominee for Governor of California in 1994, co-chair of the Presidential Commission on capital budgeting, and a board member of the Los Angeles Unified School District. She currently serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Town Hall Los Angeles.

Ms. Brown is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations as well as a founding member of The California Women’s Foundation. She earned a BA in History from Stanford University and a JD from Fordham University School of Law.

Ms. Brown was appointed to the Board of the Great Lakes Protection Fund in September of 2011.
