Business for Social Responsibility will lead a team of shippers, customers, scientists, and others to build a risk analysis and management tool that allows companies that move goods via ship to identify and manage the ecological impacts of their shipping choices. Specifically the team will identify international shipping patterns in the Great Lakes, organize a collaborative project team, and prepare a proposal to develop and disseminate a decision making tool kit for factoring the consideration of environmental impacts into carrier selection decisions. |
